Assassin's Creed BL Anthology "Everything is Permitted"
Greetings for all Assassin's Creed fans!
We are a group of Spanish artists and we are starting a project that might interest you. Do you ship AC handsome characters and think they look hot together? Do you enjoy drawing sexy assassins and would like to share your passion with other fans? Do you want your drawings to be seen all around the world? If you give an affirmative answer to these questions, continue reading!
So, what is this project about and who are we?
Our project consists of a BL (boy's love, yaoi, slash, whatever you call it) anthology dedicated entirely to Assassin's Creed fandom. This book will include doujinshi (comics) and illustrations. We want to spread the love and to show the world how much we love AC games and characters.
We are a group of artists that has been active since 2007. We have published several BL fanzines in Spanish and also an international anthology based on Hetalia. Our experience with the Hetalia anthology was very positive and we are willing to repeat it, but this time with AC fandom. What about the rating?
The title of the book is going to be “Everything is permitted”. Pretty cliché, but it describes perfectly the contents. For those who are worried about the rating, we are allowing up to R-18 (Mature Content). However, because in some countries there are legal restrictions concerning the depiction of genitalia, these will have to be conveniently censored/hidden. Apart from that little limit, abosutely everything is fine. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that your doujinshi or illustration MUST be R-18. All the other ratings are fine. For example, if you want to draw a fluffy romance story it is also possible.
What is compulsory is that your doujinshi feature a BL/yaoi pairing.
How can I contribute to the anthology?
There are two ways to contribute:
- Draw a doujinshi (comic). You can draw up to 20 pages. As mentioned above, any rating is fine. We have some specific requirements for page size and image format and resolution, which are going to be explained to you once you join the project. Some experience with doujinshi would be great, but it isn't required. If you think that you can draw a nice story that will make other fans happy, that's more than enough.
- Draw a colour illustration. Apart from doujinshis, our anthology will also include a section with colour illustrations. Our standarts for illustrations are quite high, so if you want to contribute to this section, you have to be able to draw and colour a detailed illustration.
Also, you have to keep in mind our deadline, which is May 1st (2011 obviously). You have to consider what you will be able to do in this time.
I'm interested! What should I do?
We are aware of the big amount of awesome artists who draw AC fanart. We don't know how many people are going to be interested in taking part in this project. To organize this, we'll ask you to send us an email with some information. Here's the list of details that you have to provide to us, so we'll know more about you and your artworks. You have to send them to: life.in.a.glasscase@gmail.com
* Your name or nick
* The country you are from/your nationality
* Whether your are willing to participate with a doujinshi or a colour illustration
* Which pairing/pairings do you want to draw?
* Approximately, how many pages will your artwork take up?
If you wish to draw a doujinshi, which genre will it be? Romance, angst, comedy, AU... ? If you already have an idea, a rough summary might also be good.
* You have to enclose a link with a couple of your fanarts or comic pages, so we can see your drawing style. DeviantArt links are fine.

Once we receive your details, we'll read them carefully and reply within a week, letting you know if you are in and providing you more information about our publication format and answering any questions you may have.
